All
I have to say is that I will be coming back for as many summers as I can
because I love it!

Working with a great group of kids who
were so willing to listen and learn was definitely something I will never
forget. As I sit back and reflect on the summer from home, I realize not
only how much I was able to teach the kids, but how much I learned about
myself and how I grew as a person.

I loved getting to know
new people
and make
new friends.

A day doesn’t go by without a
thought about the summer. I am so excited for next summer, and I think
I now realize what draws people back to work year after year at TLC. Again,
I thank you for endless memories and friendships that I have formed in
a seemingly short amount of time.

I had a great summer and it was
an experience of a lifetime.

Timber Lake will always be a part of my childhood & a part of growing up. It's very sad to me that I must let go of this part of my life and move on, but it's time to concentrate on my career. As a counselor and group leader, I have grown to love my campers and will miss them all.

I've been thinking about camp since I left last night. The
summer flew by and I can not believe it is over. I was surprised
by my lack of tears and I was wondering why I was not so emotional yesterday.
And I finally figured it out... For the first time ever, the quote,
"Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened," means
so much to me. I am so grateful to you for giving me the opportunity
to spend another amazing summer with all of you.

More than that, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the
past 14 years. You have given me a second home and one that I consider
to pretty much be the happiest place on earth. The friends I have
made at Timber Lake and the memories I have are some of the most important
things in my life. I am thankful that Timber Lake is such a huge
part of my life. No matter where I am or what I am doing, I won't
be able to leave it behind.
