Jason Ellsworth is our Athletic Director and this will be his 7th summer with TLC. Starting out as the Soccer Director for his first two years, it was an easy transition for Jason to take on the responsibility of working with the entire sports program. "We have so many great programs for every type of camper -- whether the child is just learning how to skate to the teen who is looking to sink the winning basket at the Jacob's Cup. I really love running and developing these programs at TLC because I know that we're developing both better athletes and better people."

In the off season Jason has worked as a teacher overseas and is continuing his academic studies in a masters program. He now helps recruit and hire staff for the Timber Lake Family of Camps from his winter home in Canada.

Jason can't wait to work with the best athletic staff in camping this summer.

Jeremy Bashham is back for his second summer as our Co-Basketball Director. "In life people have certain passions that they feel strongly about. My passion is working with young people to develop skills they can carry throughout their lives. The best way I know how, this is through the game of basketball. It is important for young people of today to develop teamwork, respect, and dedication. All these attributes and many more come from learning the game of basketball. I look forward to working with the campers of Timber Lake because they are very special people to me. I want to thank the people of Timber Lake for allowing me to come back and share my abilities. The achievement of which I am most proud is the development of many student-athletes who have carried their careers to their many universities which include The University of Kentucky, University of Louisville, Florida Atlantic University, Temple University, Marshall University, and Western KentuckyUniversity."

Tom Tegeler joins us again this summer as the Baseball/Softball Director. Tom is best known in these parts as the fine young head varsity football coach at New Paltz, but there was a time when he was better known for his stellar performances on the baseball diamond. His college alma mater, however, hadn't forgotten his efforts. Last year, St. Bonaventure University honored "Tom Terrific" by naming him one of the newest members of the SBU Athletics Hall of Fame. In being inducted, Tegeler will join the likes of legendary major league manager John McGraw and NBA great Bob Lanier. In college, Tegeler was a three-time Atlantic 10 all-star catcher. After graduating in 1995, he stayed on to serve as a Bonnie’s assistant baseball coach for two years. He then played pro ball for the Albany Diamond Dogs in the Northeast League before taking the head coaching job in 1999 at Ulster County Community College where he rebuilt that program. In 2001 he was named the head football coach at New Paltz High. Tegeler is a 1991 graduate of Rondout Valley where he was a three-sport standout. In addition to football and baseball, he also played basketball.
