Janie Schwartz has been in camping since 1980. She is a full time Associate Director during the winter months and works as the Girls' Head Counselor during the camp season. Janie is involved in staff recruitment, program development and keeping in touch with campers and parents. Her goal is to fulfill our camp mission, which is to teach kids the skills of making and keeping friends while building their self-confidence and self esteem.

Romy Diamond is the Girls' Assistant Head Counselor. She started as a camper at Timber Lake in 1983. She worked as a Junior Counselor, Counselor, Group Leader, and Assistant Head Counselor for Lower Camp. Romy was also a Marathon Lieutenant for White Wild West and a General of both Floridian Green and White Russians. During her 10 month hiatus from TLC Romy works as an Assistant Principal at P.S. 81 in Queens.

Jennifer Siegel has had the unique experience of going to camp at two weeks of age! She comes from a camping family and she loves to share her enthusiasm and love for summer camp with others. Her two children attend TLC. Jordyn is looking forward to her third year, and Samantha will be a new camper. During the year, Jennifer teaches in the nursery program at North Shore Day School. She has worked for the last three summers at North Shore Day Camp as a group leader.

Liz Mayo is back for her 11th year at TLC and is the Assistant Girls Head Counselor for the Sophomore and Junior Girls. Liz spent 8 years as a camper herself as a young girl and has had a lot of experience in camping and with children. She has spent her summers at Timber Lake Camp with her two sons, who have grown up at camp. Adam began as a pre-camper while Jordan began as a cadet boy in 2001. During the off season, Liz is employed at Levenger where she is a corporate sales representative. In the summer of 2005, Liz was honored to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Jackie Jacobs is the Assistant Head Counselor for the Senior and Collegiate girls. She graduated from Syracuse University and has been at Timber Lake Camp all her life. Jackie is currently getting her masters in General and Special Education at Touro College in New York City. She works as a substitute teacher in Brooklyn and Long Island and continues to count down the days to camp each and every summer.

Jessica Jacobs is the Assistant Head Counselor for our Teen Girls. This will be Jessica's 23rd summer at Timber Lake Camp. She started as a camper and then became a Junior Counselor, General Counselor and Group Leader. Jessica loves working with the oldest girls and helps train them to become terrific staff members.
