Dr. Scott Sokol, a pediatrician from Hemstead, N.Y., returns to Timberlake Camp for his 10th season. This will be his 40th camp summer having started in day camp at the age of four followed by numerous summers as a waiter, kitchen boy, counselor, group leader and now his most prized position as a camp doctor. He has practiced pediatrics since 1978 but his fondest memories are his twenty plus years as a camp doctor. Dr. Sokol is most proud of the fact that he was elected to the Timberlake Hall of Fame in 2007.

Dr. Perry Fishkind, camp doctor, was a Timber Lake camper from 1976 – 1985 and has been a TLC doctor since 2000. "When I'm not helping campers, I'm a partner in a small group Pediatric practice in Old Tappan, New Jersey. I also spend some time as a medical consultant for children's television programs for Nickelodeon and Disney networks. I'm the father of three boys, two of whom are already TLC campers."

Dr. Brian Goldstein is a lifetime Timber Laker. He was a camper at TLC in the 1970's and early 1980's and was a counselor in the 1980's. After a brief absence for Medical School, Residency and three years of Air Force duty, he returned as camp doctor in the late 1990's. Doctor Brian has a private practice in Pediatrics located in Plainview, NY and is on the executive board of the Nassau Pediatric Society as well as a member of the Injury Prevention and Preventative Health Committee of the Medical Society of the State on NY. Still friendly with most of his bunkmates from 1976, he has been known to sing camp Alma Maters while driving in his car. Brian's two oldest children, Zach and Casey are campers at TLC this summer.

Dr. Andrea Ploshnick has been a pediatrician in private practice for 15 years. She currently practices in Randolph, New Jersey. This is her 6th summer as camp doctor and especially loves coming up during marathon. Her 14 year-old son, Alex, was a Timber Lake camper for 4 years and her 12 year-old daughter, Sydney, is entering her 5th year. Dr. Ploshnick lives in Livingston, New Jersey with her husband, Ian and their two children. Dr. Ploshnick loves to read, ski and run. She is training for her 3rd marathon.

Dr. Neal Smith is a board certified orthopedic surgeon, who has been in private practice in the Plainview - Woodbury area for the last twenty years. He has treated many children throughout his years in practice, with both traumatic and sports related injuries. He is a member of both the North Shore - LIJ Healthcare System, and Winthrop University Hospital.
Dr. Smith resides in Melville, N.Y., with his wife Diane and son, Derek. This will be his 3rd year at Timber Lake, where his son Derek will be a sophomore. As a member of the medical staff, he remains committed to caring for your children, if necessary, with just the right mix of medical expertise and tender loving care.

Jill Wilson, MSN, RN, CPNP will be joining the Timber Lake staff this summer as camp nurse. Jill earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the State University of New York at Binghamton and a Master of Science Degree in Nursing from Hunter / Bellevue School of Nursing. A pediatric nurse by profession with several years experience at New York University Medical Center and Greenwich Hospital in Connecticut, Jill is an active proponent of pediatric healthcare and wellness. In addition, Jill is a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and a member of the Association of Camp Nurses. Jill resides in Rye Brook, NY with her husband Eric and their three children, Brandon 9 and Brett 8 both of whom are looking forward to their first summer as campers and Taylor 3. Jill is committed to providing compassionate, competent nursing care to all of our Timber Lake campers. She looks forward to meeting every camper and assisting them in having a happy and healthy summer.

Elke Zschaebitz , MSN, APRN-BC Family Nurse Practitioner joins the Timber Lake Family as camp nurse. Elke is currently a faculty instructor at University of Virginia School of Nursing. In addition she is a FNP at the Minute Clinic in Richmond, VA.
For 14 years prior to her current appointment, Elke was an FNP at the Department of Defense Dependent Schools in Germany. Elke is bi-lingual speaking fluent German and of course, English! She has two children, Jenna, 14 and Finn 11. Both will celebrate their upcoming birthdays at Timber Lake! She loves traveling, outdoor adventure, reading, skiing - both water and snow. Elke and her family are counting the days till camp begins!
