Dr. Scott Sokol, a pediatrician from Melville N.Y., returns to Timber Lake Camp for his 13th season. This will be his 43rd camp summer having started in day camp at the age of four. He attended camp for numerous summers as a waiter, kitchen boy, counselor, group leader and now his most prized position as a camp doctor. He has practiced pediatrics since 1978, but his fondest memories are his twenty plus years as a camp doctor. Dr. Sokol is most proud of the fact that he was elected to the Timber Lake Hall of Fame in 2007.

Dr. Perry Fishkind was a Timber Lake camper and staff member from 1976 – 1985. After medical school in Syracuse and his Pediatrics residency at Mount Sinai Hospital, he returned and has been a TLC doctor since 2000. "When I'm not helping campers, I'm a partner in a small group Pediatric practice in Old Tappan, New Jersey. I also spend some time as a medical consultant for children's television programs for Nickelodeon and Disney networks. I'm the father of three boys, all of whom are TLC campers.

Michael SchwartzDr. Michael C. Schwartz is a graduate of Binghamton University and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He then attended the NYU School of Medicine and was the chapter president of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. Following his graduation from the NYU School of Medicine in 1992, he completed his orthopedic surgery residency training at the Hospital for Joint Diseases from 1993 to 1997. Dr. Schwartz continued his specialty training as a Sports Medicine Fellow at Temple University Hospital in 1998. After his training, he joined ProHEALTH in 2000. He has been the team orthopedist of the New York Dragons arena football team and has provided coverage for professional golf and tennis tournaments and teams. Currently, he is the head team orthopedist for Hofstra University and is one of the treating orthopedists for the New York Islanders. At ProHEALTH, he practices general orthopedics with a specialty in sports medicine as well as shoulder and knee injuries in adults as well as children.

Dr. Brian Goldsteinis a lifetime Timber Laker. He was a camper at TLC in the 1970's and early 1980's and was a counselor in the 1980's. After a brief absence for Medical School, Residency and three years of Air Force duty, he returned as camp doctor in the late 1990's. Doctor Brian has a private practice in Pediatrics located in Plainview, NY and is on the executive board of the Nassau Pediatric Society as well as a member of the Injury Prevention and Preventative Health Committee of the Medical Society of the State on NY. Still friendly with most of his bunkmates from 1976, he has been known to sing camp Alma Maters while driving in his car. Brian's daughter Casey is a camper at TLC.

Dr. Andrea Ploshnick has been a pediatrician in private practice for 18 years. She currently practices in Randolph, New Jersey. This is her 9th summer as camp doctor and especially loves coming up during marathon. Her 15 year-old daughter, Sydney, is entering her 8th year. Dr. Ploshnick lives in Livingston, New Jersey with her husband, Ian and their two children. Dr. Ploshnick loves to read, ski and run.

Jill Wilson, MSN, RN, CPNP will be returning as head nurse at TLC. This will be her fourth summer working in the health center. Jill enjoys making sure all of the health needs of the campers are met, while also keeping parents informed and involved with any serious medical concerns. Jill was the proud recipient of Timber Lake Camps 2010 Presidential Award for outstanding service and dedication. Jill earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the State University of New York at Binghamton and a Master of Science Degree in Nursing from Hunter / Bellevue School of Nursing. A pediatric nurse by profession with several years experience at New York University Medical Center and Greenwich Hospital in Connecticut, Jill is an active proponent of pediatric healthcare and wellness. In addition, Jill is a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Jill resides in Rye Brook, NY with her husband Eric and their three children, Brandon 12, Brett 11 and Taylor 6. They are all looking forward to spending their fourth summer at Timberlake. Jill is committed to providing compassionate, competent nursing care to all of our Timber Lake campers. She looks forward to seeing the smiling faces of the returning campers, meeting the new campers, and assisting all in having a happy and healthy summer.

Vicki EvansVicki Evans Evans is our health center administrator and will be at Timber Lake for her 3rd summer. Vicki lives in Roslyn Heights, NY with her husband Rich and their two children, Robin and Jordan. Prior to coming to Timber Lake, she worked at Pierce Country Day Camp in Roslyn, NY. When she is not at camp, Vicki is employed by the Uniondale School District as a Reading Teacher. She has always worked at camp and couldn't picture herself doing anything different during the summer. She manages the health center and makes sure all the nursing staff is happy, prepared and smiling.
