Dave Skolnik, our Assistant Director/Program Director, has been a part of our camp family since he was 10 years old. Now in his 12th summer at Timber Lake, Dave has taken advantage of the full TLC experience as a long-time camper, counselor, and group leader. Upon graduating from Cornell University’s business program in 2005, Dave jumped at the opportunity to follow his passion and work for the TLC family full-time. Dave spends his summer working to pack as much fun as possible into each day of camp and brings a great sense excitement and spirit to the Timber Lake program.

As waterfront director, Wendy Okun oversees the staff and activities at our pools and lakes. Her goals for the summer are to keep everyone safe, happy, and wet. No one leaves Timber Lake without knowing how to swim! She has been at our camp for eighteen years, and watched her three children grow up here. She is patiently waiting for her first grandson to become old enough to be a Timber Lake camper.
In the evening she finally dries off enough to work in the canteen, where she can shmooze with all the campers and nobly resist the goodies that surround her (except for the irresistible frozen yogurt).
In the world outside of Timber Lake she has been a math teacher in both high school and college for thirty-six years. She is now retiring from her full time teaching job, but will continue to work part-time at a local college and continue tutoring.
