Health and Nutrition
Timber Lake Camp's commitment to the health and safety of every child is unsurpassed. Camp should feel like an extension of your home; we care as much as you do and pay close attention to your child's physical well being. Timber Lake Camp is accredited by the American Camping Association (ACA) and every member of the staff undergoes an extensive safety training program. Our modern health center is staffed 24 hours a day by six registered nurses and an MD on our grounds.
Active Living
On top of all the daily athletic and waterfront periods, our program is packed with opporunities for fitness and exercise, from our fitness center and spin classes to our martial arts programs, or by choosing to participate in yoga or dance.
Dining
Nutrition and healthy eating are as important to us at Timber Lake Camp as they are to you as parents. We know that a balanced meal plan for our campers will mean more energy to have FUN day in and day out! Camp spirit really comes to life in our Dining Hall. Campers sit by bunk with their counselors and meals are served "Family Style" by our staff. Our well rounded and healthy menu is designed specifically with our campers in mind—encouraging them to try new foods presented in a kid–friendly way. A wide range of choices ensures that even picky eaters will find something they like. At each lunch and dinner, campers can also choose items from our Fresh Salad Bar, Pasta Bar or Sandwich Station to complement the main hot dish.
Snacks
Fresh fruit is available all day throughout the campus, and a mid-afternoon snack is served at our boys & girls HCs – everything from Froz-Fuits, italian ices & popsicles to help cool down after an active day!
Special Dietary Needs
We recognize that many children have special dietary needs that require constant attention. Our Food Services Director will work closely with your family to develop a menu that will fit your child's needs, taking in to consideration dietary concerns and food allergies.
