Timber Lake Camp is proud to offer a top-notch tennis program with world class instruction on nine championship courts. Our campers participate in group training sessions, private instruction, and tournaments –instilling the skills and strategy needed to bring their game to the next level! Our expert tennis instructors hail from across Spain and have personal playing and coaching experience.
In our open air gymnastics pavilion, our campers have the opportunity to train with incredibly talented gymnasts. Whether they are a novice learning to tumble and balance or a veteran of the uneven bars and vault, TLC campers receive well rounded instruction all summer long.
With 480 box seats, a broadcast booth, concession area, and of course, our own version of “The Green Monster”, there is no better place to play or watch a baseball or softball game than Timber Lake’s Tiger Stadium. Featuring 3 additional lighted fields, group and individual instruction, along with league and tournament play, Timber Lake’s baseball and softball programs are first class!
For more than 30 years, Timber Lake’s Gordon Cup hockey tournament has been the most competitive and revered hockey tournament in camping – and it sets the tone for our hockey program all summer long. Sporting three regulation size hockey rinks, top notch instruction and competitive league play, campers develop their skating skills, puck control, stick handling, passing, shooting – and most importantly, a sense of sportsmanship and respect for the game.
With 6 lighted basketball courts, varsity and college level coaches, and a determined focus on teaching and playing the game the right way, basketball is one of the most popular athletic programs at Timber Lake. From ball handling and shooting to passing and defense, our commitment to making sure that every camper goes homes a better player than they started is why TLC is the place to be.
Home to a Par 3, four hole golf course, driving range, and putting, green, the USGA accredited Links at Saddle Mountain is the perfect setting for players of all levels to develop their game from the tee box to the green. Our experienced PGA Pro and instructors ensure that all campers receive the highest quality instruction that takes their game to the next level.
The Boys Campus is in the heart of Timber Lake’s sports facilities. Campers can walk out of their spacious, climate controlled bunks and on to a variety of fields and courts – from roller blading in the TLC Hockey Arena to practicing jump shots on Center Court. With our Head Counselors living in the center of the campus, there is always adult supervision throughout the day and night.
The Timber Dome is one of the premier locations to experience the spirit and excitement of Timber Lake! The complex features a regulation-sized hockey rink and basketball court, and with stadium seating and 360° viewing angles, there’s no better place to cheer on the TLC Tigers!
The Girls Campus is set on a sprawling green hill where our girls are able to play and relax. Close to our beautiful pool and steps from the Dining Hall, Fine Arts Center, and the Media/Elective Building, campers are in the midst of it all! The spacious, climate controlled bunks serve as a home away from home, and with our Girls’ Head Counselors living right on campus, there is always constant, all-day, adult supervision.
Whether you’re soaring high through the trees on our Zip Line, testing your strength and balance on our high/low ropes course, or scaling to the top of our four-sided climbing wall, every day is new and exciting at Outdoor Adventure!
Timber Lake’s state of the art fitness facility was designed with both athletes and exercise enthusiasts in mind – and is complete with resistance strength training machines, treadmills, ellipticals, and free weights. Our fitness staff is always on-hand to guide campers in the proper use of equipment and to help them achieve their fitness goals.
The Multi Media/Elective Building houses Timber Lake’s Culinary Center, WTLC Radio & the WTLC Television Broadcasting Station, along with studios for dance, spin, yoga & Zumba.
Our Fine Arts Center, positioned over one of TLC’s picturesque lakes, is the perfect backdrop for your child to explore his or her creative side. The center is home to many of our art elective programs, including woodworking, candle-making, painting, costume design, ceramics, jewelry making, macramé, robotics, and graphic design. Each elective features experienced instructors to ensure that our campers get the highest quality training in the areas of their greatest interest. The possibilities are endless!
Timber Lake’s commitment to the health and safety of every child is unsurpassed. Our modern Health Center is home to our exceptional team of health care professionals who are available 24/7 to meet the medicals needs of our campers and staff. Our resident doctors along with 7 RNs ensure our campers receive excellent care, while communicating their progress to parents back home.
At our Dining Hall, meals are served family style and campers and counselors eat as a bunk. There are always alternative options at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Our Food Service Director along with our Head Counselors ensure that all of our campers are eating healthy, delicious, and balanced meals. For those campers with special dietary needs & allergies, we take extraordinary care in developing a menu that fits that child’s needs.
Timber Lake’s Playhouse is a building steeped in camp history and tradition. From floor to ceiling murals from Marathons of summers’ past to the melodies of Timber Lake’s alma mater reverberating throughout its hallowed halls, the Playhouse is certainly the place to be – and includes our performance stage, two Movie Theaters, Canteen and Game Room.
Soccer is a staple of the Timber Lake athletic program. Our three full sized fields play host to drill instruction, scrimmages, league play and inter-camp tournaments. Our enthusiastic coaching staff works with each camper throughout the summer to improve both their conditioning and skills.
Saddle Mountain is the backdrop for our two private spring-fed lakes that are home to our water ski, wake boarding, canoeing, kayaking, and boating programs. Our North Lake also provides campers the opportunity to bounce on our water trampoline or zoom down our new 225 foot mountain side water slide. Our outdoor heated pool is the setting for our Red Cross certified swim instruction program and aquatic recreation, including optional scuba diving clinics.
The TNT Football Field is home to our flag football program. Our coaches work with campers to develop their endurance, strength, and skills –always with a focus on sportsmanship and safety. With leagues, inter-camp tournaments, and scrimmages “Under the Lights,” it’s always football season at Timber Lake!
Our volleyball program teaches campers to serve, bump, spike, and block – in addition to court positioning and strategy. The courts also play host to Newcomb, a variation of volleyball that is great for younger campers.
A combination of four square and dodgeball, and situated in an octagonal court, Gaga is a fast-paced sport that requires players to “dip, dive, duck, and dodge!”
Located in the heart of the campus, The Ponderosa is home to our Directors, Jay & Mindy Jacobs. With the doors always open and a well-stocked cookie jar, campers and staff are encouraged to enjoy the Ponderosa as if it were their own home.
