Choosing the right camp for your child is an important decision, and veteran camp parents will tell you that the best way to select a camp is by taking the time to visit those that match your child’s interests.

Timber Lake is just over 2 hours from NYC, similar to most camps that you might be considering. We may not be “next door” to those camps you may like to visit along with ours, and with that in mind, we have put together several day and weekend tour options along with a $300 gift card to help offset any additional lodging and travel expenses incurred on your visit.

We want to make your family’s tour experience as convenient as possible. Whether you are looking at other camps in the Adirondacks, Berkshires, Wayne County or the Catskills, we are more than happy to help design a day or weekend that includes Timber Lake as part of your trip.

Check out our tour options below and give us a call to book your tour today!

Standard Tour Option (Weekdays OR Weekends)

Spend a morning or afternoon with us and see the TLC experience in action!

Upon arrival, your child will be introduced to his camper and counselor hosts. These hosts will take your child on a full tour of our campus, participating in activities he/she enjoys the most and meeting our campers and counselors along the way! And, if they are feeling up for it, a ride down our 225 ft. waterslide!

While your son or daughter is getting to know Timber Lake from a camper’s point of view, we’ll take you around for a tour of your own! In addition to showing you around our beautiful campus and first-rate facilities, more importantly, the tour is an opportunity for us to get to know you, your family and to learn more about what you looking for out of the summer camp experience for your child. Afterwards, you’ll spend some time with Jay & Mindy, enjoying refreshments and asking any questions you have about our camp program.

After we say our goodbyes, pick-up your $300 lodging and travel gift card and head out for lunch/dinner on us!

Saturday STARFISH Tour Option
Every Saturday, just before dinner, the full camp meets for our weekly “STARFISH LINE-UP.”  The STARFISH VALUES PROGRAM teaches and promotes our camp’s values: Sportsmanship, Tolerance, Appreciation, Respect, Friendship, Integrity, Sensitivity and Helpfulness.  At our half-hour camp gathering, one value is featured, while campers and staff who have exemplified each of our STARFISH values are recognized before the camp.  Watching a STARFISH LINE-UP at the end of an afternoon touring TLC is a great way to get a taste of the developmental impact our program has on our campers.

  • Arrive at camp between 2:30 and 3:00.
  • Your child spends about two hours with camper & counselor hosts doing activities he/she likes best.
  • Parents tour camp with one of our top staff and then meet with Jay & Mindy.
